When Can He Come Home With Me?
Since I only breed a limited number of jills each year and you never know what will happen, you can only reserve a kit after we are sure everything is alright (about three weeks of age). The breeding season begins when the jill goes into season in the late winter to early summer. The gestation period is forty two days, give or take. The kits are not leaving home until twelve weeks old.

Are We Right For Each Other?
Pictures of the kits will be posted under that year's breeding season page. I will try to keep the pictures updated regularly after three weeks so that you can try to judge their color also. I will also be able to tell you about their personality if you are interested.

Reserving That Special Little Someone
As soon as I know that everything is alright (about three weeks old) I will accept a $50.00 refundable deposit for each kit you may want to reserve. The deposit is available up to 12 weeks of age, but first come after that.

Does The Fuzz Got Shots?
The answer depends on when you pick up your kit. At eight weeks they receive the first of three CDV vaccines, the second is at eleven weeks and the third at fourteen weeks. Then at sixteen weeks they need to get their Imrab-3 shot (rabies). If I have them here at sixteen weeks they will have received all of the above, if you take them at twelve weeks they will need the last CDV shot and the Imrab-3 shot.

How Much Is That Ferret In The Window?
Prices can vary depending on whether or not they will be used in a breeding program or whether they will be just family members. Prices will be in the $150.00 to $275.00 range with the ferrets going to a breeder being on the higher end. Ferrets that will be spayed/neutered require a $40.00 security deposit that will be refunded upon proof of spay/neuter.

The Legal Stuff
Each kit will be accompanied by a contract signed by both the breeder and the new owner covering the care that is expected to be given to the ferret among other things.
